CAPABILITIES

CONOPS and OPSCON​: Defines operationally aligned test and acceptance approaches for defence programmes; contributes to programme-level strategies that reflect stakeholder operational needs and lessons learned. ​

Requirements Management​: Manages requirements baselines in DOORS/DOORS NG; performs analysis and refinement; chairs requirements reviews; maintains traceability and configuration control; supports agile evolution of requirements through change control. ​

System Architecture & Interfaces​: Develops interface definition documents and describes inter-component interfaces with associated requirements; reviews hardware design to identify equipment needs and mappings.​

System Design​: Contributes to use case models and UML designs; prepares software requirements specifications to support subsystem development and partner engagement. ​

System Engineering Artefacts​: Produces qualification strategies, ITEA plans, verification matrices, acceptance case reports, test plans, specifications, and reports in line with recognised standards. ​

Implementation & Production​: Creates bills of materials, engages procurement for cost and supplier evaluation, and coordinates ordering and delivery to operational sites. ​

Unit Testing​: Supports development of test scripts aligned to software and system requirements; advises on improvements to agile development and test processes. ​

Functional Testing​: Designs and executes functional, non-functional, user acceptance, and regression tests across web, mobile, and mission systems; reports outcomes and defects. ​

System Integration​: Plans and documents integration testing; executes lab-based integration; coordinates subsystem integration activities and readiness gate reviews.​

Verification & Validation​: Leads ITEA/V&V processes at system and subsystem levels; manages V&V teams; develops verification evidence including retest strategies and rig-based testing. ​

Safety Engineering​: Supports assurance activities and compliance reviews within safety-critical civil defence and aerospace contexts through structured test and acceptance documentation. ​

Security Engineering​: Manages V&V for cyber-focused programmes, aligning test and acceptance with security requirements and organisational processes. ​

Environmental & Qualification​: Leads qualification strategy development, aligning ITEA artefacts and stakeholder expectations for platform programmes. ​

Type Approval​: Prepares acceptance evidence, verification matrices, and reports that support formal acceptance and approval within regulated defence environments. ​

Certification​: Authors and reviews compliance-oriented documentation following IEEE and military standards to support certification and audit activities. ​

ILS​: Supports logistical and operational acceptance within defence programmes through integration of requirements, test, and acceptance inputs to commercial and project teams. ​
